Biography

Kara Nisbet obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of South Florida in 2011. In 2014, she obtained a Bachelors of Law (LL.B.) (with 1st Class Honors) from the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom. While at the University of Buckingham, she won the prize for Best Performance in the Part 1 Examinations and The Butterworths prize for the student with the Best Performance in the Part II Examinations. In 2015, she obtained a Masters of Law (LL.M.) with concentration in Banking and Finance Law from Duke University in the United States. In 2019, she obtained the Legal Education Certificate (L.E.C.) from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica.

Kara worked as an apprentice in Belize and in Jamaica. She was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in August, 2017 and called to the Bar of Belize in August, 2019.

Kara practices in areas of Contract Law, Banking and Finance Law, Commercial Law, Real Property Law, Probate and Estate Planning and Corporate Law.
